Annual Canvass 2026: Have you responded?

The Annual Canvass 2026 is now underway across North Yorkshire.

Residents will receive communications by post or email asking them to check that the electoral register details for their property are correct.

If you receive a yellow canvass form, you must respond. Please take a few minutes to check your household’s details and submit your response as soon as possible.

Being on the electoral register is about more than voting. It can help when applying for a mobile phone contract, renting or buying a home, and accessing other services. If someone in your household is aged 16 or over, make sure they are registered too.

Please help spread the word by encouraging friends, family and local residents to look out for canvass communications and respond promptly if required.
